Transportation Vouchers - Half Price
Door-Tran is excited to announce its expansion of transportation information and referral communication center to include free car pool matching services and now, transportation vouchers that can be purchased at half-price by individuals or full price by businesses and organizations.
To get started, complete a simple application, and after receiving approval from Door-Tran, the purchase of vouches may begin. A person may purchase a $5.00 value voucher for $2.50 and a $10.00 value voucher for $5.00. Businesses and organizations may also purchase vouchers for their customers at the face value of the voucher to distribute travel vouchers for free to their customers or charge the Door-Tran’s half-price.
Once a voucher is obtained, it can be used with the following transportation providers: American Red Cross, Door County-Green Bay Shuttle, Door County Senior Resource Center, Service Taxi Cab, Sunshine House, Inc., or the Washington Island Community Van. A person may purchase up to $200.00 of transportation services per month.
Current funding for this program was received from the Fred J. Peterson Foundation, Rotary Club of Sturgeon Bay, an anonymous donor, and Wisconsin Department of Transportation.

Door-Tran was implemented
through the Door County Transportation Consortium whose vision is of
a self-sustaining, community driven affordable, available, and
accessible transportation system for Door County. Currently, the
Door County Transportation Consortium meets quarterly and has 43
members made up of nonprofit providers, for-profit providers,
nonprofits, businesses, private citizens, and government agencies.
The Governing Council meets monthly along with sub-committees
